Asbestos Exposure- $5,000,000-Plaintiffs were employees of the Long Island Railroad and claimed that Railroad negligently exposed them to asbestos. Plaintiffs claimed that the railroad failed to provide a reasonably safe workplace and violated FELA by exposing them to toxic chemicals, including asbestos.

Sexual Harassment--$2,200,000-Female police officer was awarded $2.2 million dollars in damages because she endured severe sexual harassment, retaliation and gender discrimination from her superiors.

Auto Accident-$65,000-- Claimant was struck in the rear while traveling on roadway. Settled after lawsuit filed.

Falldown--$1,000,000 -- Sales representative fell while descending flight of stairs. Staircase was in violation of the City Building Code.

Sexual Harassment-$375,000-Female officer was awarded damages for sexual harassment and wrongful termination after she was complained to her superiors regarding sexually harassing behavior from the police chief.

Medical Malpractice- Brain Damage-$20,976,915, Brain Damage quadriplegia and total blindness. Plaintiff suffered severe permanent injuries, including bilateral hypoxic encephalopathy, spastic quadriplegia, blindness, and mental retardation, as a result of medical malpractice by the defendant in performing a spinal tap.

Medical Malpractice--$1,200,000. Wrongful Death-Fifty days of conscious pain and suffering resulting from defendant's failure to diagnose Lupus.

Car Accident-$220,000- Plaintiff was a 56-year-old maintenance worker who suffered his injuries when his vehicle was struck head-on. Plaintiff suffered Carpal Tunnel Syndrome resulting in numbness, loss of grip in right hand and a chip fracture. The Court Award was for pain and suffering.

Negligence-$60,000-Plaintiff was attacked by Defendant's dog while shopping in the retail store. Defendant maintained his security dog on the grounds and had permitted the dog to enter the retail area. Subsequently, the dog attacked the Plaintiff as he stood at the cash register.

Medical Malpractice- -$2,500,000.Vertebral Fractures 59-year-old male was employed as a glazier. He was injured when a crate of glass struck him as he was helping unload it from a flatbed truck. He suffered fractured vertebrae with burst fractures, resulting in spinal cord injury without paralysis. To stabilize the spine, he underwent surgery for the implementation of two rods. Due to an infection, the rods began to poke through the skin and required two subsequent surgeries to ameliorate.

Slip and Fall-$16,000- Plaintiff was caused to fall when she tripped over a cut signpost on the sidewalk at the entrance to a construction site. Plaintiff injured her hand and was required to undergo outpatient surgery on her thumb.

Slip and Fall-$487,500- Plaintiff slipped on a wet paper towel on a staircase at a High School. Plaintiff sustained injuries to his knee and ankle requiring surgery, had difficulty walking and climbing stairs and cannot stand or sit for long periods of time.

Medical Malpractice -- $750,000- Plaintiff suffered leg shortening as a result of hospital negligence. Following an accident, Plaintiff, an 11-year-old girl was taken to the emergency room. Hospital failed to properly diagnose leg injury and timely contact patient upon discovering error. Plaintiff underwent surgery that resulted in leg shortening.
